John the List

There I was at the great temple of the idolator sect among the jesus christians, when a tall good-looking and elegantly dressed man walked up to me. "I am John the List." he declared mysteriously. His voice was soft and gentle. A rap-line entered and exited my mind, about a "john the bomb analyst". Was this him? No, I shook my head, this man said he was a Listian, no doubt an evangelising group of some sort.

I gave him my full attention, full of admiration for his nice suit. He told me he was from Germany, and asked me if I was interested in who the next pope was. Did it matter to me, and if so, why?

I laughed. "Are you trying to convert me?". "No, no," he shook his head vehemently. "I told you, I am press reporter."
