Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind ?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne?
- Robert Burns
Certainly not. We raise a toast to salute acquaintances, auld and new. To your happiness comrades!
Think on us kindly sometimes too.
ps: It may be Burns Night, but we still can't in good faith recommend either of the traditional Scotch culinary delights - Whisky or Haggis. Though if I had to choose, Haggis wins any day - sheep's heart lungs and liver cooked and served in its stomach lining. Yum Yum!
pps: Burns described Haggis as the "great chieftain of the pudding race". A fantastic description, but we suspect that all that scotch whisky had killed his taste-buds dead.
ppps: Can you imagine the scene? All the delicious puddings gathered around their leader, chattering away excitedly while wobbling and shaking unsteadily on their tiny little legs! :-) Which pudding would you choose as chieftain?
